Midtown Magic

This polish is also from China Glaze's Metro collection (2011). I bought it a little while ago at a drug store near my house, but haven't gotten around to wearing it.

This lacquer looks black in the bottle, but it is actually a reddish-purple colour.  It has beautiful tiny gold flakes that change slightly greenish in the light.

Lana Del Rey Nails... Sort of.

This was just a simple and quick nail inspired by Lana Del Rey's signature mani. The nude is Zoya's 'Helen' and the Red is Nicole by OPI's 'I stop for Nicole'.
Her Stiletto nail shape is daring and provocative. My nails are far to short to pull off a shape like that. Personally, I need more practical nails since I am a mere mortal and must work with my hands so no stiletto for me.
Once my nails get longer I do plan on trying the less drastic almond shape for my nails. There is just something sexy about pointed talons.

Flirt

This colour is a beautiful cream coral, it looks like a bright orange-pink colour in light and an almost red colour in the shade. Flirt is a fun and vibrant polish that really embodies its name.

The formula is really nice, it covers well in two coats, which was pleasant since some of Essie's formulas can be a touch streaky.

Right now is the dreaded exam season, I needed something bright on my nails to keep from going insane. I'm not sure if it helped all that much...

Trendsetter

This colour stands out in China Glaze's Metro collection. While the others are mostly mute urban shades this mustardy-olive is, in my opinion, the main attraction. The application was smooth with great coverage. The drying time is a little long but a fast dry top coat will fix that.
China Glaze - Trendsetter
Trendsetter is a green creme with a lovely fine gold shimmer that really adds to the colour.

Although some may call this a "puke" or "gross" green, I actually quite like it. At first I was a little disappointed but the more I wear it the more I like!

Thoughts?
